This compact kit provides a plethora of tools while staying light-weight and with room to spare. We really like the Molle pack instead of a box as this makes it easily packable on your body, on the outside of your pack and has a good amount of open space to personalize the kit.

We really like the Molle case. It is compact, can go in your pack, on your belt or strapped onto the outside of your pack as well. Definitely versatile and has plenty of room should you want to customize the kit before hitting the trail.

A pen on one side and a glass hammer on the other. The tactical pen is lightweight and definitely can come in handy for leaving notes and signals as well as breaking glass in time of need.
It’s always good to have a compass. If you know where a major road is, or a general direction from which you originated it can make a difference between an uncomfortable night in the bush or a cup of hot chocolate around the fire at home.
Ferro rods are fantastic ways to start fire. Especially during wet or hypothermic conditions a lighter may not always be a viable solution. The ferro rod with this kit is relatively soft allowing for large sparks to rain down on the tinder at hand.
A Mylar space blanket in a cold color is provided as well. The gold provides maximum identification on a snowy landscape. These blankets are great as a blanket, a reflective heat shield as well as for signaling.
